POSITION INFORMATION

Role Summary The Manager Studio Operations is responsible for managing a variety of projects and work groups in the Creative Studio and ensures that each project drives brand initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring each of these projects are designed, edited, approved and produced. The Manager Studio Operations will establish the processes and systems to run the Creative Studio and is also responsible for doing the work of an account and production team while managing the resources of a creative team.

Scope & Complexity This position leads the operations of the Creative Studio from processes, systems and resource allocation while ensuring high quality, cost effective, and timely production of marketing initiatives.

Key Duties Production:

  • Responsible for establishing the systems and process management to ensure efficient operation for projects in the Creative Studio.

  • Leads the implementation of systems/software support to achieve an efficient and cost-effective operation and manages the enablement and ongoing operation of systems and processes established.

  • Manages a team of two and is responsible for the resource allocation and time management of the creative team (6-8 internal employees) who are assigned to design projects in the Creative Studio. Identifies new creative resource needs.

  • Drives projects ranging from strategic brand initiatives to quick turn design projects, using judgement to prioritize based on business need and resource allocation.

  • Manages projects from initial design concepts through final production, including the approval rounds of input from others. Provides efficient workflow and real-time communication through each phase of the project through deliverable.

  • Synthesizes and aligns disparate requests into outputs that drive strategic brand and marketing goals. Established as a brand expert who understands how all of the Creative Studio's work aligns to brand and marketing goals.

  • Ensures all project requests, discovery, and asset needs are tracked and communicated to requestors. Is the key driver for planning & resource forecasting to ensure appropriate staffing for volume of work.

Communication:

  • Identifies opportunities to expedite project delivery and reduce cost. Communicates any unresolved problems or possible timeline issues, along with recommended actions for correction.

  • Ensures optimal systems in place to monitor production flow of assigned work: sets up files, keeps a log of start/complete dates of assignments, labels materials, etc.

  • Documents project changes based on feedback and organizes presentation materials for creative reviews.

  • Reports and optimizes output from the Creative Studio including quantity/source of requests, time to brief, time to execute, alignment to brand strategy, and performance.

  • Accountable to Stakeholders regarding work within the Creative Studio and resolves any issues.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior production role within a creative studio, agency or in-house team

  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience

  • A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree with a focus in Marketing, project management, or related field

  • Experience establishing processes and systems to efficiently manage a creative studio environment

  • Experience as a project manager or equivalent leadership experience on creative projects

  • Experience implementing projects involving process improvement, and in managing junior production and traffic managers

  • Ability to manage expectations in a high-pressure, deadline filled environment.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing

  • Ability to present creative work to stakeholders; speak to strategy and creative choices, defend decisions and gain alignment

  • Ability to identify problems and collaboratively develop alternatives for solution

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred:

  • A professional certification in project management (PMP)
