Role Summary The Manager of Airworthiness Directive/Code of Federal Regulations (AD/CFR) and Aircraft Information Systems reports to the Chief Engineer and is responsible for developing and coordinating all AD management, and reporting.
Scope & Complexity This leadership role manages the Airbus AD Management Program for Alaska Airlines.
Manages the on-going development of the Airbus AD Management Program.
Coordinates various company organizations such as finance, maintenance, inspection and engineering to facilitate incorporation of AD/CFR changes.
Interfaces with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for their review and approval of any changes required for AD/CFR changes.
Ensures all related Airbus aircraft maintenance program instructions, work documents, and control procedures are developed and administered in accordance with FAA regulations and Alaska Airlines company policy.
Coordinates the incorporation of AD and CFR Regulatory information related to aircraft maintenance schedules, requirements and methods into the Airbus maintenance program.
Assists in development of new or revised divisional policies and programs as required for attainment of Maintenance and Engineering objectives.
May assume the duties of the Chief Engineer for vacation/absence coverage.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job-Specific Skills & Education
A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering of large turbine aircraft.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Airline and/or FAA Repair Station.
A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
Detail oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
A Technical or Engineering Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in engineering.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Aircraft maintenance programs and AD/CFR familiarity.
